Happy Fall!
As of today, it is officially fall, so I decided a change in background was in order. I absolutely love fall, and I'm so excited it's here. Here are just 10 things that I think make fall great:
1. Being able to open your bedroom window so it's cold enough to snuggle into the blankets, but not so cold that you freeze - and our new down comforter is WONDERFUL!
2. Rainy days that are perfect for curling up with a good book or favorite movie while listening to the drops on the roof (like today)
3. Sardine Canyon and its beautiful colors
4. Crunchy leaves on the ground
5. The musty smell of wet leaves after a rainy day like today (weird, I know, but for some reason, I love it!)
6. Glazed donuts and apple cider (cider, not juice)
7. Corn mazes and getting lost in them (although letting Buzzy lead the way was not our best decision ever... ;-D )
8. Carving pumpkins and decorating for Halloween
9. Fall fashion: sweaters, etc. and tall boots (or as Erik calls them, my "hooker boots")
10. Being able to eat soup without sweating to death (I love soup!)
I'm sure I could come up with more, but that will do for now. If you have any, please let me know...
Cute background and I love the list of things to love about fall! I'm right with ya! So, where did you get your new down comforter? I am SO desperately looking for one right now!
I love the fall too. I love drinking hot chocolate and wearing my collection of sweaters and jackets. I also do have to throw in that fall brings the college football season.
We were just talking about how fall is our favorite season at work today. Very romantic. I sometimes wonder if I would have fallen in love with Len if we had met at any other time of the year. We actually have a fall season here in Clarkdale, AZ 'cuz we're in the mountains, but the three years I spent in The Valley of the Sun were completely fall-less! It didn't even cool off until Thanksgiving and people like to grill their turkey dinner! But up here, at a massive height of 3500 feet, we get leaf change, chilly mornings and warm afternoons, open windows at night without triggering either the AC or the furnace. When I was a kid, I would always forget to bring home the sweater I wore to school in the morning because it was warm when I came home. My mom would be annoyed. I love to decorate with fall colors, but only in the fall. Horns of plenty and my harvest curtains and the first pumpkin pie. I think I'll make one now!
